TeleCloud Platform Upgrade - v44

On Wednesday August 28, 2024 TeleCloud will be performing a platform upgrade to the phone system that will bring new benefits and features to all of our customers. We've highlighted some of these features and benefits below.

Webphone v44

The web phone has been rebuilt, refactored, and redesigned for the v44 release. Some of the key changes are as follows:

  • UI Framework Upgrade - transition from Angular v1 to React; for more seamless components allowing newer images, graphs, and libraries
  • PWA (Progressive Web App) & Push Notification - in addition to being able to use the web phone without loading the full portal, the PWA will now allow push notification support when the application is closed
  • iFrame Support - dedicated page with side bar navigation & configurable icons
  • UA Registration Information - includes current network statistics 
  • Pinned Cads - web phone cards can now be pinned in place to load with the web phone each time
  • Multiple Instance Notification - if the web phone is open in multiple places the browser will notify the user and allow them to choose which session to utilize

Timeframes v44

  • UI Updates - slider bars from time frames have been removed in place of drop down menus to set times
  • New "When's" - Holiday and Custom timeframes types have been added 
    • Holiday uses a custom integration to track moving holidays as needed 
    • Custom timeframes allows users to utilize all of the available timeframe modules to create a customized experience

  • Updates for portal redundancy for smoother user experience
  • Improvements to Hot Desking allow the phone to display the current users extension rather than it's base extension
